The Whole Disciple is how The Summit Church's gatherings, groups, programs and relationships work together to facilitate the journey of being disciple-making disciples.

What is our Mission?

Following the Holy Spirit, we exist to create a movement of
disciple-making disciples, in RDU and around the world.

The Whole Disciple allows us to do what Jesus called us to do: Make Disciples Who Make Disciples Who Make Disciples

First, Becoming a Disciple

Jesus didn’t begin his ministry by preaching to crowds. He began by calling individuals to follow him.

Our ministries do the same, inviting people to become followers of Jesus.

Second, Growing as a Disciple

The second step is growing as a disciple. Followers of Jesus embrace the five identities of a disciple, seeking to grow in each of them.

A Worshiper

seeks to know, love and obey God above all else

A Family Member

lives with the local church as “family”

A Servant

gives of themselves for the good of others

A Steward

uses their time, talent and treasure to know God and make Him known

A Witness

proclaims Christ in word and deed

Third, Making Disciples

And finally, the third step is making disciples. We end every service by saying You Are Sent. Because we are. Sent to our neighborhoods, schools, friends, family and to the nation to make the Gospel known and felt.

Discipleship means not only growing as a disciple, but helping others grow and leading them to become disciples so that the whole process starts over.
